You can use Microsoft Word on your web browser without installing Microsoft Office on your computer or paying for a Microsoft 365 subscription, just follow these steps to start working on a document over the web:

• Visit the Microsoft Office website.
• Register or login with an existing account.
• After signing in, you will be redirected to Microsoft Office Home.
• You will see the Microsoft Office applications that you can use for free in the list on the left. Click on the Microsoft Word icon.

On the next screen, click New blank document.

A tab for a blank Microsoft Word document will open, and you can start working on this page.

You can save your new document online or download a copy to your desktop, so start by clicking the File tab.

Click Save as in the menu on the left, and you can save your Word document online or download an offline copy in .docx, .pdf, or .odt format.
